Jonathan Swift’s classic satire about little and big people, Gulliver’s Travels, has captured the imagination for more than 300 years, and is widely regarded as one of the greatest indictments of humanity ever written.
Cartoonist and writer Martin Rowson has adapted and updated Swift’s famous story, creating a modern Gulliver – based in 1997 – who learns how history unfolded for the Lilliputians.
Rowson’s illustrated Gulliver is a homage to Swift and the human folly that provoked him to write the original. It’s available now to pre-order before the March publishing date.
Rowson told me: “Perfect for Easter, you tight wads. Just sodding buy it, all right?”
