Most rappers come with an entourage and fans can rarely get within a few feet of their heroes.
Those who saw The Game (rebranded Game these days) at HMV Forum on Saturday night were in for a treat.
The audience were treated first of all to the tight vocals of Tiana accompanied by Game’s female DJ, before the man himself came on rhyming a capella.
With nods to 2pac, Biggie and Bad Boy, Game performed tracks from The Documentary and The Doctors Advocate.
To top it off, he rewarded those die-hard fans dressed in Red Nation merchandise by inviting them to flood the stage to bounce to his infamous One Blood finale.
And who said rap was violent?
At one point, Game interrupted his set to scold some scamps fighting in the crowd and promptly had them escorted out.
