Kentish Town cinema

EXCLUSIVE by DAN CARRIER

THIS is the first look at how a new cinema set for the old Pizza Express building in Kentish Town could look. The image is part of planning documents filed at the Town Hall. It follows our exclusive last week that the project to turn the building, the former North London Polytechnic building at the junction of Kentish Town Road and Prince of Wales Road, into a cinema was ready to go.

Let's get the Show on the Road!

It really is time for a cinema and a performance venue in Kentish Town.
Kentish Towners are a creatively individual crowd. The former Pizza Express in this building was hopelessly bland and never worked for this reason.

Camden, Belsize Park, Hampstead & Swiss Cottage each have their own cinema, so let's get this cinema happening and the show on the road! And not an Odeon, but a hub for independent cinema and a performance space, let's celebrate one of the best independent high streets in NW London.

Just what we need

This would be a wonderful addition to NW5, let's welcome proposals with open arms.
