A MAN standing on the outside of a tower block was coaxed back into his home by police.
The resident of Palgrave House, Fleet Road, barricaded himself in his flat at around 10am this morning prompting calls to the emergency services.
He later moved on to the outside of the block, reportedly threatening to jump. The man's family arrived and assisted police.
Police, ambulance and fire services all attended and erected cordons restricting access to the estate. The road was later closed off to vehicles around 2.30pm.
Transport for London reported bus diversions for routes 24, 46 and C11 due to “a police incident".
Roads closed around South End Green and Gospel Oak have reopened after a Met spokesman confirmed that the "incident" had come to an end around 7.40pm.
