MONEY lost in Hampstead has been reunited with its rightful owner after an appeal in the New Journal.

Lib Dem councillor Linda Chung used the pages of the paper to find Jean Bourne, who correctly pinpointed where the money was lost and how much.

The cash slipped out of Ms Bourne’s pocket after a visit to a cash machine.

Cllr Chung said: “She is delighted it had been found because it was her and her husband’s spending money for two weeks. She had felt bereft at the loss because she thought it would be wasted.”
