LABOUR councillor Tom Neumark confirmed today that he plans to step down from the Town Hall. The former planning chairman had been regularly flying to the United States where his wife works in Washington DC. He said the criss-crossing travel to be with her and to stay committed to council work had proven too much. A by-election in the Camden Town and Primrose Hill ward, currently split between Labour and the Lib Dems, will be held on May 3.
