AWARD-winning author Sophie McKenzie read to sick children from her new novel, Sister, Missing, at University College Hospital.

The charity Starlight organised the recent visit at the Young Persons Unit.

Ms McKenzie, who won the Richard and Judy Best Kids’ Books Prize in the 12+ category for her debut novel, Girl, Missing, said: “It was very inspiring to visit the young patients at UCH, many of whom are battling pain and anxiety on a daily basis.”
