THE search is on for the owner of money found in a Hampstead street.

It was discovered somewhere in the ward and Lib Dem councillor Linda Chung wants to get it back to the rightful owner.

Claimants must say where the money would have been found, how much and in what form.

Cllr Chung said that if nobody came forward to collect the cash, it would be donated to the New Journal’s Christmas hamper fund.

Police have been informed.
