Funnyman James Corden surprised waiting revellers on Saturday when he showed up to open the St Paul’s Primary School Christmas Fair

THE Gavin and Stacey star wore a cheeky smile as he cut the ribbon and welcomed visitors into the school in Elsworthy Road, Primrose Hill.

The highlight of the fair was without doubt Santa’s magnificent grotto, decorated with Disney characters. Parents took full advantage of a host of bric-a-brac stalls and a raffle, while children enjoyed toy stalls, face painting and games. There was also Dig It Gardening Club run by Transition Belsize, who have been holding weekly classes at the school to encourage children to connect with nature.
